Award winning country music artist Kristi Kalyn grew up the daughter of a Texas
Country Singer. Kristi began performing on stage at the age of two years old when she grabbed on to her dad’s leg and belted out the Bob Wills song “Roly Poly” all while being live on KJIM AM Radio with Bob Wills himself! This sparked a long and
prosperous career in country music.
Kristi has performed with and/or opened for many of Country Music’s top stars including Mark Chesnutt, The Dixie Chicks, Willie Nelson, Eddie Raven, Martina McBride, Gary Stewart, Patty Loveless, Joe Stampley, Moe Bandy, Tanya Tucker, Johnny Duncan, Hank Thompson, Kitty Wells, Ray Price, Mel Tillis, Johnny Bush, The Ace in The Hole Band (George Strait’s Band) Gene Watson and many more.
Kristi has received numerous awards throughout her career. Including being
inducted into The CMA Of Texas Hall of Fame in 2013.
Kristi’s freshman album “New Kind of Cowgirl” and the single / video “Guess Who’s
Back in Town,” bolted Kalyn to the top of the Texas Country Music scene and landed
her performances at many top venues throughout the US and Europe.
Kristi has recorded demos such as “Barney the Dinosaur” at the Movie Studio’s at Los Colinas, TX, and jingle sessions at Dallas Audio. She has many TV appearances under her belt along with casting calls for the made for TV Movies “Dallas-War of The Ewing’s” and “Holiday in Your Heart,” based on LeAnn Rimes rise to stardom.

Kalyn became an international entertainer when she was selected to perform in
Caracas, Venezuela for a Pro-Bull Riding, and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys
Association event. Kristi and her band “Taste of Texas” were also asked to perform in Panama for The United States Embassy during the American Airlines celebration of their inaugural flight from DFW International Airport to Panama City, Panama. Kristi has toured Europe with the King of Rockabilly, Mac Curtis as well.
Kristi toured in Las Vegas playing with The Cavalcade of Stars @ Caesar’s Palace and
The Venetian. This award-winning entourage was filled with Celebrity Impersonators where Kristi impersonated Shania Twain, Gloria Estephan, The Country Girl, also a backup singer for Elvis and Roy Orbison. Kristi has performed for fortune 500 corporations as well as at dancehalls and night clubs across the country. Kristi has also been a regular performer of the National Anthem at “The Ballpark in Arlington” for The Texas Rangers, “Texas Motor Speedway” in Fort Worth for NASCAR Races in 2008 and 2009, “Lonestar Park” in Grand Prairie, TX”, “The National Cutting Horse Association”, “The United States Team Penning
Association” and “The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo”.
Kristi recorded her second album in Nashville in 2010 where she co-wrote several
songs with her partners Lance Wing, Steve Batts and Katy Keenie for her album “It’s
Not Over”. It has received airplay across the US and Europe
Kristi Kalyn continues to play venues across Texas and Nashville. She returned from
Nashville in latter 2021 and has released her new album HonkyTonks & Heartaches for airplay on Country Radio across the US and Europe and all digital music platforms.
In this latest release HonkyTonks & Heartaches, the album displays her roots to
Traditional Country Music with a combination of original and cover songs with three of the songs penned by Country/Country Gospel Award winning Artist & Producer Chuck Hancock.
Three singles from HonkyTonks & Heartaches album reached Gold and Platinum status on Airplay Express along with landing the number one spot for her album on NDExpress. Kristi’s album is featured in the May 2022 issue of Country Music People Magazine that is distributed internationally and was given a 5-star rating.
Kristi also received a Will Rogers – Academy of Western Artists Award for 2021 Female Vocalist of The Year on October 13, 2022
